Last year we observed major changes with the intimate wear online store: Shapermint, as they recreated the way women everywhere view shapewear.
They are known for their motivating mottos such as: “Loud and Proud” and “spark your confidence” which have inspired over one and a half million women to become Shapermint gals. This has indeed become a revolution in the way women view their bodies.
Let’s face it, not too many of us think that we have the perfect body. Shapermint has made it their goal to help us with our poor self-image and to help us learn to have confidence and feel good about how we look.
There is no need to keep cancelling life because of our little insecurities or hang-ups on our bodies. We are already beautiful. Let shapewear give you a reassuring hug that you are not alone. They want all women to celebrate life and enjoy all it has to offer.
Shapermint celebrates their first birthday
In just one year, their customers grew from zero to over one and a half million. Over twenty-one million shoppers visited their online store.
Shapermint set out to do the impossible when they started out a year ago, by attempting the impossible. Erasing the stereotyping that surrounds shapewear as a garment for hiding behind instead of helping you flaunt your curves.
They have helped millions of woman to change how they view shapewear by teaching them how to wear and love shapewear and not be embarrassed to use it.
Shapewear equals confidence and confidence equals power.
Shapermint Gals pay tribute to their moms
We all agree that moms have the opportunity to build this self-confidence in their daughters. That is why it is so fitting that Shapermint invited daughters and mothers to share their life and body experiences.
Better get your hanky out—its hard not to choke up when you think of your own daughter or mother. Take a moment to reflect on all the women in the world who need this message.
To quote the Shapermint team: “We believe shapewear helps moms shape their own confidence-and confident moms raise confident kids.” So true!
We all hope this message will inspire all women to stop the cycle of self-hate. Build up, not tear down. Teach your daughters that you love your body. Tell them that they are beautiful and wonderful. Never, ever tell them they are fat, ugly or stupid. And never let anyone else tell them that!
This is my truth
We all grew up and were inundated with messages that either we weren’t skinny enough, not smart enough, not beautiful and not good enough to be happy.
This is where we get back to the basic truth that we have to change that thought process.
Shapermint.com has the goal to change that thought and the way women think.
We see here just four women and their deep feelings of how they have learned to love their body.
Paulina sums it all up really well: “Our body doesn’t define us.” “So, I kind of started enjoying life… I accepted me, for who I am, the way I am.”
Bettye’s truth was making the best of her situation and knowing she and her baby were both going to be okay.
Marcia faced the modelling challenge of having to be super skinny and all the pressures that came with that. “It’s one thing I want my daughter to just not have” those feelings of imperfection that just are not right for women.”
Jill didn’t fare well with the loss of her husband and had to learn to just really love and accept herself as she was and to be happy with herself.
We all struggle with body image. Learn to love what you see in the mirror.
Let’s do this!
Imagine a special getaway to a beach resort and you hide in your room because you are too embarrassed to be seen in your swimsuit. You are missing out on life. You could have such a great time swimming and sitting by the beach watching the sunset, but no.
You are allowing your self-hate of your body keep you from good times with your family and friends.
Enjoy life and be happy!
Being happy, confident, joyful, and strong will be what people see and not your body. The person you are inside will shine through.
